Escaped Criminal
When I got to school this morning there were two helicopters hovering. The door to the school was also locked. When I got in they told me that some guy who was aprehended as a rape suspect escaped. He was wearing handcuffs and somewhere in West Rogers Park.
The helicopters continued till about 11. They caught him on Farwell.

We've got a match!
Rob was tested last week to see if he's a match for a bone marrow transplant, and he is! I can't fucking believe it. I thought for sure he wouldn't be a match.
The feeling of relief flowing through my body is exhilarating.

Disappointed
Last night Sara gave us a whole bunch of videos that her 10 year old son has grown out of, plus a video stand. We brought them upstairs and started looking through the videos. I was telling Adrian what they were. He started with his sad face.
M: What's wrong? Are you sad?
A: I'm disappointed (said quite forlornly).
M: You're disappointed? Why?
A: (Pouting)
M: What does it mean when you're disappointed?
A: You make bad choices when you're disappointed.
I'd never heard him say that word before. I'm assuming he did something bad at school and a teacher said to him she was disappointed because he made bad choices.
He's so friggin' funny sometimes.

Another bad dream
At 1:30 I heard him crying. I went into his room and snuggled and asked what happened. He said he had a bad dream. I kept telling him to wake up cuz I was there and he's safe. Then I asked him what his dream was. He said that a dog was eating him.

Remission!
We got the results of the bone marrow biopsy. He's officially in remission! What a fucking relief.
He's scheduled to go back into the hospital on April 4 for more chemo. Hopefully, this time he'll only be there a week.

Boooooo Hooooo
My flight leaves at 3:20 something today. I figure I can take the 2:00 shuttle to the airport.
Don't make me leave!!!!! I have no responsiblity here and my major decision is when the best time is for me to sit in the sun. In Chicago tomorrow the high is 37 and possible snow showers the next day. Fuck me.
I really don't want to go home. Can you tell?
